What is Almond Tea?

Almond Tea (杏仁茶) is one of Taiwan’s popular drinks, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. A warm, creamy drink made from ground apricot kernels (Chinese almonds) and rice, lightly sweetened. Often paired with fried dough (油條) at breakfast.
