What is Minced Pork Rice?

Minced Pork Rice (肉燥飯) is one of Taiwan’s popular rice and braised dishes, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. White rice topped with finely minced pork cooked with soy sauce and fried shallots. Compared with braised pork rice (滷肉飯), it uses leaner meat and less sauce, so it is lighter and drier. A good pick if you find fatty pork too heavy.
